Miss. Jodi – Head Teacher (Pre K) Butterflies

IMG_7168My name is Jodi Farres and I have had the privilege of being a part of Highlands Christian Preschool since 2013. I began my adventure as the school’s portrait photographer and was blessed when a teaching position became available.
My education for Early Childhood was completed through Mendocino College and Yuba College in Lake County California.
I have spent a lifetime working with children in various organizations as well as my community elementary school. I have had the opportunity to be a one on one aide for a student with special needs, an assistant director for a local dance/community arts center and Girl Scout Leader.
I am married to my husband of 22 years and we have one son and one daughter currently in high school and college.
Children bring so much happiness to my daily life. It is my goal to be a Godly inspiration to our students and families as well as making sure our children are safe and loved while growing both academically and spiritually. Jesus loves the little children and through Him they will learn how to love others and to develop a relationship with Him to last a lifetime. Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.

Miss Sarah-Caterpillar Teacher(2 & 3 year olds)Miss Sarah 2
My name is Sarah Russell, I grew up in Sonoma County and I come from a family of 5 girls. I am married with two adorable girls. I received my teaching certificate and AA in child development through the Santa Rosa Junior College. I have been teaching for 8 ½ years and I really enjoy what I do.
My teaching career began at a preschool in Santa Rosa. My family moved from the Sonoma County area to Lake County and I found a teaching position at a preschool in the Napa Valley, which led me to the teaching position I now hold at HCP. I really enjoy working with preschool age children because it gives me the opportunity to not only teach them the important fundamentals they need to learn but also see the joy on their faces when they learn and discover new things. Jesus loves children and highly values them because they truly are important and what we teach them at a young age really helps determine the person they will grow up to be. I have been blessed with the talents God has given me as a teacher and I strive to continue to follow Christ’s example in everything I do.

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
